Compassion. Social responsibility. Environmental awareness. At first, these might not sound like principles to establish a fashion brand upon — but when you found everything in your life upon such principles, it stands to reason that fashion would follow. SPICY is a brand founded on not just style, but true beauty — the radiance that emanates from design born of quality materials, quality construction and quality people.

Eliana Stefani, creator and co-founder of SPICY, left her home in Brazil after designing for two well-known denim brands, on a personal quest for a more authentic, grounded lifestyle. She found just that in the island paradise of Bali, an international mecca of creative and spiritual energy, where she could fully realize her passion for inspirational designs to accentuate feminine flow and elegant sensuality. Using organic cottons and natural dyes SPICY designs not only allow you to feel positive, pure and natural, but to actually BE positive, pure and natural.

It’s not as easy as it sounds. Overcoming great trials of both international and personal calamity throughout its early years have helped forged SPICY into a brand that could be both sly and sensual while still durable and distinct. As the first eco-friendly fashion designer in Bali (even their factory runs on vegetable oil generators), SPICY strives to inspire and challenge not just their clientele, but also their contemporaries and even themselves. Ultimately, style originates from the person, not the clothes. So if good people make good clothes in a good way for other good people…well, it just seems obvious. True beauty isn’t a fabric, or a designit’s a state of being. SPICY designs speak for themselves. The people who wear them do the rest.
